Liposuction

Liposuction

The inevitable fat accumulation in certain areas of the human body is genetically coded. The fat reservoirs in such sites constitute permanent fat accumulations. These reservoirs cannot be eliminated with any diet or exercise. Liposuction surgery is a vacuum operation that involves the permanent elimination of stored fats, which could not be eliminated with any diet or exercise.

If the skin has lost its elasticity due to the age of the patient, the patient will need supportive operations. In other words, the success rate of liposuction increases if the patient is under 45 years of age, if the skin is tight and if the operation is made for the regional fat reservoirs.

Liposuction is a surgical operation required to be done under general anesthesia, in a fully equipped hospital. Incision lines are marked when the patient is in the standing position. With suitable cannulae (with a diameter of 2 mm - 4 mm), the accumulated fats are vacuumed out by accessing the fat reservoirs through the suitable folds of the body. This is a serious surgery that requires skill and knowledge. Otherwise, the skin may remain uneven or asymmetrical. After surgery, a special corset is put on the patient. The patient can take a bath after a week. But he/she should wear the corset again, immediately after take a bath. Corset is recommended to be worn day and night for a period of 20 days, and then only in the daytime for a period of 20 days again. It should definitely be noted that the desired shape of the body will be reached 3-5 months after surgery. Bruises that appear in consequence of surgery disappear within 20-25 days.
