Breast Augmentation

Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation surgery can be performed in women who have different-sized breasts, young women whose breasts have not grown although they have reached the age of 17, women who have lost their breasts due to burn, and women whose breasts have lost volume after pregnancy.

Women who apply for breast augmentation mostly want to have this operation for their psychological states or the satisfaction of their husbands. The desired breast size is determined by the physician in consultation with the patients, depending on the patient's demand and the body structure, and the physician's foresight.

Breast implants are enclosed in an elastic silicone sleeve. They may contain sterile saline or jelly liquid silicone.

In breast augmentation operations, implants are placed through several ways.

a) Through an incision made in the nipple area.
b) Through an incision made under the breast
c) Axillary.

If the brownish part around the nipple (areola) is not too small, placing the implant through an incision made in the nipple area eliminates the scar problem, and this is why I have been using this method for 20 years. But if this area is too small, it is possible to place the implant axillary or through an incision made under the breast.

Silicone prosthesis is placed under the milk glands or under the underlying muscle. The physician is determines this depending on the patient's condition. At the end of the surgery, the patient wears a special medical bra.

Placing silicone into the breast of a young woman will not impede the breast feeding function when she will have a baby in the future. This surgery is done under general anesthesia. The patient is discharged the next day. We advise our patients to avoid arm movements for a period of 15 days.
